2019 Spring Break Camps

Information on 2019 Spring Break Camps offered by the City of Albuquerque.

The City of Albuquerque wants to make sure children of all ages have access to safe and fun experiences over Spring Break.

As part of Mayor Tim Keller’s initiative to expand youth programs, students will have the opportunity to participate in a range of programs from March 11 to March 15, 2019. Various camps will make sure that kids have access to safe, fun experiences over the break.

Activities during spring break will include:

Community Center Spring Break Camps

  • Programs are free (field trips may be additional cost)
  • March 11 - 15
  • 22 locations, citywide
  • Activities include: arts and crafts, games, sports, field trips, swim lessons, and field trips

CommunArty Spring Break Art Immersive

  • Programs are free
  • March 12-15, 9 am - noon
  • Classes will be held at the South Broadway Cultural Center, 1025 Broadway Blvd SE, Albuquerque
  • Students in grades 8 - 12, who are currently enrolled in public or charter schools, or home-schooled
  • Students will experiment with printmaking, book arts, painting, collage, writing, and more
  • Final project will be a student-curated exhibition at the Albuquerque Museum in June 2019

Spring into Summer Event

  • Free event
  • Saturday, March 9, 2019 at Tiguex Park (1800 Mountain NW)
  • Engaging activities, entertainment, and information about opportunities available to Albuquerque youth this summer
  • Rockwall, photo booth, carnival games, arts and crafts, music, food vendors and more!

ABQ BioPark Spring Break Camp

  • March 11 – 15
  • Grades 2 - 6
  • Monday and Tuesday - Spring Wildlife Safari at the Zoo
  • Wednesday – Spring Water Journey at the Aquarium
  • Thursday – Spring Green Collection at the Botanic Garden
  • Friday – Spring Outdoor Adventure at Tingley Beach
  • $50 per day or $250 for the week

Albuquerque Bernalillo Public Library

  • Libraries will be open during regular hours
  • 18 locations across the city
  • Various events for all ages
